Let's “Walk the World” Together!
Walk the World is a fun, six-week walking competition for children that focuses on teamwork. Rajiv Kumar, Chairman of Shape Up RI, has invited three fifth-grade classes in Rhode Island to compete in our friendly competition. These classes will go head-to-head in this pilot program to see which team can rack up the most steps during the challenge. Walk the World is designed for students of all fitness levels. Participants will receive the tools and resources needed to set goals, track their progress, and motivate each other.
| Participation is FREE and all students receive: • Digital pedometer • Reminder wristband • Walk the World t-shirt • Competition logbook • Weekly prizes • Ideas on how to increase steps |
